For several months, customers have repeatedly asked us for recommendations on how to eliminate the Dirty Electricity (DE) that comes from smart meters and other sources. Until now, we did not have a solution.
But what exactly is "Dirty Electricity"?
One of the most dangerous types of EMF, dirty electricity is erratic spikes and surges of electrical energy traveling along the wiring in your home where only standard 60 Hz AC electrical current should be. These "dirty" frequencies 'ride along' on the electrical wiring and radiate into your living environment. These frequencies then interact with your body, causing the following health effects:

- CFL and LED light bulbs
- Blenders and mixers
- Solar power systems

So that is the problem - but what is the optimal way to address it? Many customers have asked us what to do about dirty electricity (DE) and we had previously been unable to offer a solution.
There are plug-in DE filters available on the market, but we have many concerns with them. Our concerns are the following: 1) the filters make their own magnetic fields 2) the filters can increase the magnetic fields from your wiring 3) the filters do absolutely nothing to reduce the strength of the electric fields 4) the filters may increase power consumption and 5) the filters only protect / clean the circuits which they are plugged into, often necessitating the purchase of 10-20 individual plug in filters.
In the past, we did own and use DE filters in our home. I purchased over 15 of them and spent almost $500. However, when I realized that EACH of them created their own magnetic field I immediately removed them and tossed them in the garbage. Personally, I am not interested in ADDING 15 individual magnetic field generators into our living space. We purchased these filters with the intention of reducing EMF in our home not increasing it!

So since plug-in filters are not a tenable solution what are we to do? Thankfully we found the Power Perfect Box! Assuming a $125 monthly electricity bill (rather conservative) and a 15% reduction in consumption, investment in a Power Perfect Box yields a positive NPV (Net Present Value) of $830 and pays for itself in 5 years.
Now that is a conservative calculation. We live in Phoenix and in the warmer months (basically half the year) our electric bill can be well over $300 per month.
Assuming a $200 monthly electricity bill and a 15% reduction in consumption, investment in a Power Perfect Box yields a positive NPV (Net Present Value) of $2,011 and pays for itself in only 3 years!

UPDATE November 14th, 2018.
We received our first electric bill since installation of the Power Perfect Box. Our most recent bill dropped to $127 down from $195 the month prior. Very encouraging! This is by far the lowest bill we've had since moving to this house.
It's not a perfect measurement by any stretch but it is still quite encouraging. For one, we installed the Power Perfect Box on 10/19 and this billing period is 10/11 - 11/13, so there were 9 of the 33 days of this billing period where the Box was not even installed. Secondly, the average temps have cooled - so we have not run the AC that much during the day - however, we have occasionally run the furnace to warm the house in the evening. Thirdly, this month's billing period was 33 days vs a 29 day billing period for the month prior.
Normalizing for the different length of billing periods - in terms of actual kWh usage, we went from 41.8 kWh per day to 21.2 kWh per day or a 48% month over month drop.
The true test will be when we get to the summer months next year and see the year over year drop, but for now I am quite happy with my low bill this month!
